Ingredients
- 8 canned buttermilk biscuits (store-bought, like Pillsbury, work great)
- 1 pound breakfast sausage (mild, hot, or flavored to your preference)
- 1/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Instructions
Step 1: Preheat the Oven
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) or the temperature recommended on the biscuit package.
Step 2: Cook the Sausage
- In a skillet over medium heat, cook the breakfast sausage, breaking it into crumbles as it cooks.
- Cook until fully browned and no pink remains. Drain any excess grease and set aside to cool slightly.
Step 3: Prepare the Biscuits
- Separate the canned biscuits and flatten each one slightly with your hands or a rolling pin to create a 4–5 inch circle.
- Spoon a small amount of the cooked sausage onto the center of each biscuit.
- Sprinkle a pinch of shredded cheddar cheese over the sausage.
Step 4: Seal the Biscuits
- Fold the edges of the biscuit dough over the sausage and cheese, pinching them together to seal.
- Place the biscuits seam-side down on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
