Ingredients
3/4 cup softened unsalted butter
1/2 cup softened cream cheese
1 1/4 cups granulated sugar
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 cups all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup milk
1 cup fresh blueberries (or do a mix of berries)
1 teaspoon optional lemon zest
Directions
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9-inch springform pan.
Cream together the softened butter, cream cheese, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
Beat in the eggs one at a time, then add the vanilla extract.
In a separate bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
Gradually blend the dry ingredients into the creamed mixture, alternating with the milk.
Gently fold in the blueberries and optional lemon zest.
Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top.
Bake for 45-50 minutes until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
