Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, egg, garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
Shape the mixture into small meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter.
In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the meatballs until browned on all sides and cooked through, about 8-10 minutes.
Transfer the meatballs to a baking dish and pour the marinara sauce over them.
Sprinkle the mozzarella and cheddar cheese evenly over the top.
Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
While the dip is baking, arrange the bread slices on a baking sheet and toast in the oven for 5-7 minutes, or until golden and crispy.
Serve the cheesy meatball dip hot, with the crispy bread slices on the side for dipping.
Variations & Tips
For a spicier version, add some red pepper flakes to the meatball mixture or use a spicy marinara sauce. You can also experiment with different cheeses, such as provolone or fontina, for a unique flavor. If you’re looking to make this dish a bit lighter, consider using ground turkey or chicken instead of beef. For a vegetarian option, replace the meatballs with roasted vegetables like mushrooms and bell peppers. This dish is versatile and can be adapted to suit your taste and dietary preferences.
