I brought this dessert to a get-together, and everyone kept chatting about it.
Ingredients
1 cup uncooked white rice
2 cups milk
1 cup heavy cream
3/4 cup sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 large eggs
2 tablespoons butter, melted
1/4 cup raisins (optional)
2 cups milk
1 cup heavy cream
3/4 cup sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 large eggs
2 tablespoons butter, melted
1/4 cup raisins (optional)
Directions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Cook the rice according to package instructions until tender.
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the milk, heavy cream, sugar, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and salt.
Add the cooked rice to the milk mixture and stir well to combine.
In a separate bowl, beat the eggs and then slowly whisk them into the rice mixture.
Stir in the melted butter and raisins, if using.
Pour the mixture into a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
Bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the pudding is set.
