Ingredients
6 large apples, peeled, cored, and sliced
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup caramel sauce
1/2 cup chopped pecans
Directions
1. Place the sliced apples in the slow cooker.
2. In a small bowl, mix together the brown sugar, melted butter, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
3. Pour the mixture over the apples and stir to coat them evenly.
4. Cover and cook on low for 4-5 hours, or until the apples are tender and syrupy.
5. Once cooked, stir in the vanilla extract.
6. Drizzle the caramel sauce over the apples and gently stir to combine.
