Ingredients
1 cup unsalted butter
1 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup granulated sugar
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 cups chopped pecans
Directions
In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Continue to cook, stirring frequently, until the butter turns a golden brown and has a nutty aroma. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the browned butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar. Mix until well combined.
Add the eggs and vanilla extract to the butter and sugar mixture, and beat until smooth.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
Fold in the chopped pecans.
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9×13 inch baking pan with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
Spread the batter evenly into the prepared pan.
Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
