Celery (Chelidonium majus) is a perennial medicinal plant known for its effective action on various types of skin diseases.

It grows to a height of about 70 cm and you can recognize it by its bright yellow flowers with 4 petals.

The stem is branched and covered with fine hairs.

When part of the plant is broken off and squeezed, a yellow or orange milk appears.

It contains active substances that act on warts, corns, henbane, various growths, as well as a large number of alkaloids.

During the growing season, when the plants are young, this yellow milk can be applied directly to problem areas.

But this is a relatively short period, during spring and summer, so it is wise to make a tincture so that you can use the effects of snake milk regardless of the season.

The snake’s milk herb is a widespread plant in nature.

It grows in most of Europe and Western Asia.

It can be seen in meadows, in forests, along roads and near houses.

Many people don’t even know that this is snake milk, which is very effective for various conditions.

Wart treatment

When you break off the stem of this plant, squeeze it and a yellow liquid will ooze out.

Point the stem directly at the wart and treat with milk at least 2 times a day.

Avoid contact with the rest of the skin, apply only to warts.

Although the plant is toxic, it is safe for external use.

Skin contact may cause an allergic reaction in some people.

You can also use it on calluses, corns, and any growths.

Snake milk ointment

We need:

milk thistle leaves

jam jar

vegetable oil

1 teaspoon dried propolis

30 g beeswax

Preparation:

We chop the herb leaves in the jar and pour them with oil so that they are completely submerged.

Then, using a wooden spoon, we press the leaves well to release as much juice as possible.

Leave it in a dark and cool place for 3 days and press it regularly with a wooden spoon (not a metal object!).

After this time, we press everything again with a wooden spoon and add dried propolis.

Press again and stir well, close with a lid and set aside again, this time for 10 days.

After 10 days, transfer the mixture to a saucepan, heat, and strain through cheesecloth.

Drain well to get as much liquid as possible.

Once the liquid has drained, add the wax and heat (do not boil, just warm) to dissolve the wax.

Filter again through a strainer and pour into a clean jar with a lid.

Now all that’s left to do is let the ointment set and it’s ready.

Apply it to warts, corns, or calluses using a thin stick.

Tincture for external use

We need:

snake milk

70% alcohol

jam jar with lid

Preparation:

Fill the glass halfway with dried herb and pour alcohol to the top.

Close with a lid and leave in a dark, cool place for 3 weeks.

Then strain and pour into a dark bottle.

You can use the tincture to apply to warts and calluses, etc.

You can also use it for skin problems and eczema.

Apply the tincture several times during the day.

For eczema, the tincture is diluted with water.

30 drops of tincture are dissolved in 100 ml of boiled and cooled water.
